Chiropractic Care

chiropractor treating female patientChiropractic has been helping people of all ages with a variety of health issues for over a century without the use of drugs or surgery.

Chiropractors get proven results with these specific health conditions by using the best available evidence from research, the preferences of the patient and the expertise and personal experience of the individual chiropractor.

The clinic philosophy at Complete Care Health is based on the following simple, common-sense principles. They serve as a guide as we assess your health, explain what we’ve found and make our specific care recommendations:

  • Being healthy is your normal state
  • Your nervous system controls everything
  • Stress can overload your nervous system
  • Spinal joint dysfunction is a coping strategy
  • Adjustments help reduce spinal dysfunction
  • You’ll likely need more than one adjustment
  • How long you benefit from care is up to you

Our Chiropractic Techniques

We use a number of highly-effective adjusting approaches to help improve spinal biomechanics and reduce nervous system interference. The approach we use is based on our clinical judgment and years of experience.

The primary adjusting techniques we use include:

Diversified

After identifying which vertebrae have lost their normal motion or position, a specific manual thrust is applied to free up “stuck” spinal joints. read more on Diversified »

Gonstead

This full spine approach relies on X-rays and a heat-sensing instrument for a thorough evaluation and documented results. read more on Gonstead »

AK Applied Kinesiology

SOT

Thompson

How much does a visit to a chiropractor cost in Perth?

Every practice sets their own rates, so it will vary. Please contact our practice, and we can let you know what our fees are.

What does a chiropractor do?

A chiropractor is a healthcare professional who identifies and addresses various neuromuscular disorders and related symptoms. Chiropractors utilise an array of adjusting methods, including hands-on and instrument-assisted ones.

Why should a patient see a chiropractor?

A chiropractor can help your body function as optimally as possible by removing interference in the nervous system through an adjustment of the spine. Many people come to chiropractors seeking pain relief. Chiropractic is a non-invasive and drug-free way to alleviate acute and chronic pain.

What kinds of patients do chiropractors care for?

Chiropractors can see patients of all ages, from newborns and children to seniors and all ages in between. Some chiropractors also see athletes, those involved in auto accidents and pregnant patients.

Do you need a referral to see a chiropractor in Australia?

No.

Is it too late to correct my posture?

No, even if you’ve had poor posture for years, you can still make corrections to it. We can provide a postural assessment and help address poor posture by identifying the underlying cause of the problem. Then a chiropractor will begin by making adjustments to the shoulders, including slow joint movements, to get you into the best position for proper posture.

What are the side effects of bad posture?

Back pain, neck pain, headaches and poor sleep are some side effects of poor posture. If you have bad posture, you may also experience poor digestion and circulation, as well as impaired lung function.

Does chiropractic actually work?

While chiropractic doesn’t treat or cure anything, it removes interference in the nervous system so the body can do what it’s designed to do–heal itself. Millions of people around the world have experienced natural pain relief and other benefits from chiropractic care.

How do you know if your neck is out of alignment?

If you have neck pain or are unable to easily turn your neck, it may be out of alignment. A chiropractor can perform an examination to determine if you have a misalignment. Upper cervical chiropractic adjustments can address misalignments in the neck.

Is chiropractic care appropriate for children?

Chiropractic is suitable for infants and children of all ages. Rest assured that only gentle adjustments are used on children. With babies, for example, we only use about the same amount of pressure used to test a tomato for ripeness.

What is the youngest age to go to a chiropractor?

Many chiropractors adjust infants that are just days old. Again, adjustments on these little ones are extremely gentle and only a light touch is needed.

How can I tell if my child needs chiropractic care?

If your child had birth trauma or has difficulty sleeping, colic or poor posture they may benefit from chiropractic care.

Is chiropractic bad for babies?

No, on the contrary, chiropractic may be beneficial. That’s because the birth process can be tough on a baby’s neck. A gentle chiropractic adjustment may help remove interference in an infant’s nervous system, allowing them to develop optimally.
