Grant Mercorella, Physiotherapist

Grant graduated from Melbourne’s Latrobe University in 1996 with a degree in Physiotherapy. From then on he has worked in both private practices and at Private Hospital Rehabilitation departments.

After his time in Melbourne, Grant moved to Alice Springs in 1999 where he opened and ran his own clinic for 15 years, working closely with sports physicians and orthopaedic surgeons. He has also treated patients in a wide variety of sub-categories such as sports physiotherapy, post-orthopaedic surgery rehabilitation and muskuloskeletal physiotherapy. Being in such a remote community, it gave him experience in all aspects of physiotherapy as well as working collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Whilst in the Northern Territory- he was also worked as the NTIS Central Division physiotherapist for 5 years as well as lecturing for the Sports Medicine Australia’s Level 1 and 2 courses.

Since moving to Perth back in 2014, grant has continued to expand his skill set with courses run by APA (Australian Physiotherapy Association), gotten his certification in dry needling and has completed his level 2 Sports Physiotherapist course which he is continuing to Level 3 in March 2018.
When he’s not at work, Grant enjoys outdoor activities such as dirt bike riding, stand-up paddle boarding, surfing and ice hockey. Not to mention his three teenage kids and two dogs that keep him on his toes.
